Yesterday morning, chaos erupted outside the La Bona Vida Event Center on San Antonio's northeast side when gunfire injured six people. KENS 5 reports that San Antonio Police Department responded to the scene around 2:46 a.m. after shots were fired into a gathered crowd, with victims ages ranging from 15 to 23 years old.
The suspects are yet to be clearly identified, as the investigation by SAPD continues. Three victims were quickly taken to the hospital by ambulance, while three others were able to, on their own, drive to a nearby medical facility. Despite initial reports of non-life-threatening injuries, KSAT disclosed that two individuals — a 22-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy — suffered life-threatening injuries in a night that saw four vehicles riddled with bullet holes, according to police records.
Security personnel at La Bona Vida Event Center informed officers of witnessing multiple muzzle flashes from across the street, a statement backed by the discovery of several shell casings and evidence at the reported location. However, detectives lament the lack of cooperative information, as witnesses are remaining tight-lipped about the incident so far.
