In a grim discovery at a Chanhassen residence, Carver County law enforcement officials report the death of a 33-year-old St. Paul man following what they believe was a violent assault. The Carver County Sheriff's Office disclosed in a statement that a 9-1-1 call at 3:52 PM on April 12 brought deputies to the 8100 block of Audubon Road, where they, alongside Chanhassen Fire Department and Ridgeview Ambulance Service, located the victim unresponsive in the garage.
The victim whose identity has not been released pending a full medical examination was found by his parents who immediately attempted CPR before pronouncing him dead at the scene. A subsequent transportation of the body to the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office in Anoka is set to shed light on the exact cause and circumstances of his death.
An ongoing investigation, currently in the hands of the Carver County Sheriff's Office with coordination from multiple agencies including the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Minneapolis Police Department, led to the identification and later discovery of a person of interest, found deceased at a residence in Minneapolis.
