Austin residents can shed the umbrellas for sunglasses as forecasters are predicting a string of sunny and warm days ahead, the temperature starting to simmer gently into a hospitable Texan warmth. According to the National Weather Service, today will remain sunny with the mercury inching up to a comfortable 81 degrees, accompanied by a light north breeze wafting at 5 to 10 mph.

As the evening blankets the city, the skies will hold their clarity, setting the stage for a cool dip to about 53 degrees, tonight's calm will later give way to Friday’s slightly more vigorous south winds, as they pick up speed reaching 5 to 15 mph with possible gusts pushing to 20 mph, with the weekend heralding partly sunny skies and highs steadily climbing, residents can expect more of the same warmth because Saturday and Sunday will bask in the high 80s and gusts might occasionally flex up to 25 mph according to forecasts provided by National Weather Service.

The serene weather is a welcomed respite for the city after some unsettled conditions earlier in the week, local station KXAN reported soothing conditions will coast "today through the weekend," evening gusts are taking a rest, calming down to say, between 5 and 15 mph brought from the north/northeast.

KXAN also notes the shift in winds to southerly will bring about increased humidity, cushioning the city in warmer temperatures and slowly drawing in more cloud cover as the week unwinds, while the next opportunity for rainfall is pegged for early next week though with chances remaining on the lower edge of the spectrum as of now, expected precipitation seems to be content just teasing the outskirts of a thirsty cityscape.
