A suspect in a harrowing kidnapping case was nabbed near a Sandy Springs hiking trail, and body camera footage has just been released by the local police department. The dramatic arrest occurred after the man, identified as 21-year-old Grayson Breaux, was located by officers using a license plate-reading device. Found with the victim in a dark hatchback at a parking lot near the East Palisades Trail, Breaux was detained after a previous incident involving a kidnapping outside a Waffle House, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.

Additional information revealed by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution detailed the suspect's alleged violent actions in the early hours of April 24. It was outside the restaurant on Cumming Highway that Breaux is accused of abducting the woman, with detectives citing surveillance video showing her fruitless attempts to flee from the moving vehicle’s clutch.

Police say the duo were formerly roommates and that Breaux had violated a protection order by confronting her at the parking lot. Body camera footage recorded the officer's swift intervention as Breaux, in a red button-up, was placed in handcuffs on the ground. An unseen woman, her voice trembling, replied "no" when asked by the officer if she was OK, to which he reassured her, "You'll be fine. You'll be just fine," according to FOX 5 Atlanta. The victim alleged that the man had also taken her phone during the ordeal.

Breaux is currently facing charges of kidnapping and aggravated stalking. Cherokee jail online records confirm that he has been arrested and is being held without bond. The case remains active, with no additional details disclosed by the police.
