A Cobb County judge has slammed the cell door shut on a 17-year-old’s request to get out of jail, where he awaits trial in connection with a shooting incident at McEachern High School. The judge denied bond for Scott Foor, who is accused of drawing first blood in the February shootout, according to a report by Atlanta News First. Foor, facing aggravated assault and weapon possession charges, has had his bid for freedom rejected for the second time.

Despite Foor's lawyer’s argument and a $50,000 bond request, the judge found that there was no change significant enough to reconsider the decision made two months ago. The ruling means that the teen will continue to sit in jail. "I concur with the first judge that Mr. Foor is a danger to the community based on the decisions made on that date," the judge remarked, as reported by WSB-TV. Foor appeared at the bond hearing in February but failed to gain favor with the judge then as well.

The February altercation began over an argument in the school's parking lot and quickly escalated to gunfire, leaving two injured—neither of whom were students. Alongside Foor, one other student and a 21-year-old man, Jean Germain, who was also injured in the incident, are facing charges. As per Atlanta News First, both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Family members present at Tuesday's hearing declined to offer comment to the press. Foor finds himself implicated alongside three other individuals arrested in the wake of the violence that rattled the school community.
