A Texas man has been slapped with terror charges after he allegedly sent a series of threatening text messages to a senior living facility employee, according to local authorities. Shavano Park police took Ruben Alex Flores, 37, into custody after being tipped off about the disturbing threats.

Caught in the act of reportedly planning a violent outburst, Flores didn't mince words in a string of menacing texts, where he warned, "I'm about to go in there and act a fool. I'm not playing. I'll be at your job tonight just to let you know. I don't care, I'm gonna show you that I will stop every car that pulls in and out. Watch me. This is it." According to an arrest affidavit obtained by FOX San Antonio, these messages were enough to put local law enforcement on high alert.

Reacting swiftly to the potential threat, police coordinated with the targeted senior living facility to bolster its security measures. An employee had initially alerted authorities after receiving the alarming messages from Flores earlier in the week.

Flores is currently cooling his heels in jail, waiting to face the music for his egregious actions, while residents of the senior facility steer clear of the chaos he has allegedly sought to incite.
