A mother-and-daughter duo were cuffed in Cypress, Texas, for illegally doling out booty enhancements. Charging a hefty $6,000 for each illicit procedure, Consuelo Dal Bo, 56, and her daughter Isabella Dal Bo, 18, got busted during an undercover sting after they traveled from California with the intention to perform back alley butt injections.
According to Click2Houston, the sting went down at a makeshift clinic on Eastern Meadowlark Way near Telge, where the Dal Bos were under the belief they were about to meet a legit client. Instead, they were greeted by undercover officers who then swiftly put them to book for their unlicensed handiwork.
The two are now facing charges for unlawfully practicing medicine without a license, and in Consuelo's case, an additional charge for the delivery of a controlled substance, Alprazolam – better known by its brand name, Xanax. The mother handed the undercover agent the anti-anxiety pill seemingly to ease them into the procedure, as reported by FOX 26 Houston.
Court records disclose an unnerving detail: the duo intended to inject customers with a mysterious brown liquid, the actual contents of which they were "not even sure," according to the investigation's findings. This revelation comes amidst warnings from health authorities who've consistently flagged the dangers of underground cosmetic procedures. "First things first, these are unregulated, right? Especially if they are administered by non-licensed providers. They might be using unregulated or illegal substances for these injections," Dr. Sara Andrabi, an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine, told FOX 26 Houston.
Seized from the scene were bags filled with illegal injectables and medical paraphernalia. The Houston Police Department, with the help from FDA and Homeland Security Investigations agents, continue to rally victims to step forward and share their encounters. Both women are temporarily out on bond and are expected back in court come April 10.
