TriStar Health Plans $250 Million State-of-the-Art Hospital to Elevate Care in Spring Hill, TennesseeSource: TriStar Health

Healthcare giant TriStar Health has set its sights on Spring Hill, Tennessee, proposing a whopping $250 million full-service hospital to serve the rapidly expanding city. The project, which aims to cater to the booming population, is touted to deliver more than 3,000 jobs to the area spanning Williamson and Maury counties. According to FOX 17, the state-of-the-art facility would feature 68 beds, an Intensive Care Unit, and specialty units for labor and delivery, and neonatal care, among other essential services. TriStar plans to erect the hospital next to the existing TriStar Spring Hill ER on Reserve Boulevard.

Community officials, recognizing the pressing need for closer medical facilities, have eagerly embraced the proposal. Spring Hill Mayor Jim Hagaman shared with News 2 his firsthand experience of the strain on emergency services, "We did not have a hospital close back then, and a lot of times, firefighters would have to get in an ambulance to go either north or south with patient who wasn’t having a good day, and I was the firefighter that did that, and so it will be great for our providers, our EMS personnel, as well as our firefighters and police that they can come right here to a hospital."

A Certificate of Need must first be obtained from the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission for the project to move forward. TriStar's roots in the community run deep, having provided emergency care to thousands in the area over the past decade. Mitch Edgeworth, president of HCA Healthcare TriStar Division, stated in a release covered by Williamson Source, "As Spring Hill’s population continues to grow, it is time for the community to have access to essential healthcare services at a full-service hospital closer to where they live, work and play."

The proposed hospital promises to not only augment healthcare access but also boost local employment. Highlights of the proposed facility include an Intensive Care Unit, Labor and Delivery Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, four operating rooms, cardiac catheterization services, and comprehensive imaging services such as MRI. With Spring Hill recognized as Tennessee's largest city missing a hospital, this development has the potential to significantly uplift community health infrastructure. A community information meeting regarding the hospital is scheduled for May 14th, engaging residents for input at the Community Baptist Church, as noted by FOX 17.
