A Friday night gun sale gone awry left two critically wounded in the 8700 block of Starr Ranch, Bexar County, with officials reporting a chaotic scene that included a high-speed car chase and a barrage of bullets. According to KENS 5, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office responded to calls around 9 p.m., finding two victims with severe gunshot wounds, one shot in the head and another suffering multiple wounds to the body.

The botched transaction turned violent when, as Sheriff Javier Salazar told KSAT, a teen and another individual met to purchase a firearm from the sellers, events spiraled quickly, gunshots rang out, and a chase ensued, the teen and his 20-year-old accomplice allegedly began shooting at the sellers' vehicle, critically injuring the two men inside including the driver who took a dire hit to the head and his passenger who was selling the gun, struck in the legs and torso.

The violence spilled across the quiet enclave near Fair Oaks Parkway and Interstate 10, with the suspects fleeing the scene only to later contact authorities and claim they had been robbed. "At present, we don’t believe that the case," stated Sheriff Salazar, refuting the suspects' allegations, as reported by KSAT. The two alleged shooters, the 15-year-old and the 20-year-old, eventually were apprehended, and officials are currently detaining the identified suspects in connection with the shooting.

Both victims of the shooting were rushed to a local hospital, listing them in critical condition, their lives hanging in the balance after what should have been a simple transaction spiraled into bloodshed. The Bexar County Sherrif's Office has seized two vehicles for evidence, as the grim reality settles that a firearm meant for sale turned against its sellers in an exchange that underscores the fragility and volatility of such clandestine deals.
