Two people were sent to the hospital following a severe head-on crash on FM 1431 Rd near Jonestown Friday afternoon. The collision, involving two vehicles, occurred around 1:12 p.m. at the 18100 block of the road, Austin-Travis County EMS reported.

Emergency crews had to cut one victim from the wreckage, an individual pinned inside their car, Both victims were deemed trauma alerts due to the nature of their injuries. They were swiftly transported to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center with injuries categorized as potentially serious. According to CBS Austin, one patient was taken by Austin-Travis County EMS medics, while the second was carried by a Travis County Emergency Services District No. 1 ambulance.
Responding to the incident alongside EMS, Travis County ESD No. 1 and several other agencies worked quickly to address the emergency. The specifics of how the accident occurred have not been released at this time.
