
A shooting on Saturday night at 2591 Ethridge Court left multiple vehicles damaged and two people injured, one of whom suffered a gunshot wound. According to Atlanta Police Department reports, the incident occurred around 10:36pm when a vehicle approached the location and began firing at individuals on a basketball court.
Responding officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound who was then transported to the hospital and is reported to have been alert, and conscious. A second victim, a female, later arrived at Grady hospital with a graze wound to the arm, which is believed to be connected to the same event. The gunfire not only led to the wounding of these two individuals but also resulted in collateral damage to several nearby vehicles.
The police are exploring the possibility that an exchange of gunfire took place between the vehicle's occupants and people at the basketball court. The shootout prompted an official investigation which is actively ongoing. No suspects have been named and authorities have not released information regarding what may have instigated the violent outbreak.
