In a tragic unfolding of events, the Napa Police Department reported a deadly shooting that claimed the lives of two females. The incident occurred yesterday evening, around 8:10 pm, in the 400 block of Riverside Drive. Arriving officers discovered the victims on the pavement, each inflicted with at least one mortal gunshot wound, per an official statement on the city's website.

Medical staff, arriving afterward quickly, were unsuccessful in their attempts to salvage one woman's life — she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her companion was rushed to the hospital where, despite the best efforts of the medical experts, she was later pronounced dead.

The Napa County Major Crimes Investigation Team has taken the reins of this ongoing investigation, looking to piece together the events that led to this senseless carnage. In a call for justice and answers, the Napa Police Department urges witnesses or individuals with relevant information to come forward.
