Set your alarms for an early wake-up on May 18, 'cause from 9-10 a.m., you can learn about DIY Drip Irrigation straight from the horse's mouth – Tarrant County Master Gardener Steve Chaney is holding court at the Lake Arlington Native Plant and Pollinator Garden. According to the City of Arlington, Texas, volunteering for garden maintenance pre-talk kicks off at 8 a.m.

Bring the kids for some dirty fun at Family Volunteer Day on June 15. This isn’t your usual Saturday morning cartoons. From 8-10 a.m., you can teach them a bit about local flora and fauna while playing in the dirt at the Native Plant and Pollinator Garden. Hawkes Downtown Library, this shindig for anyone interested in rolling out the welcome mat for our fuzzy, flying friends.
