The Austin Police Department has intensified its search for a suspect involved in the heinous trafficking and sexual assault of a child last summer, as detailed in descriptions provided by authorities. According to KXAN, the suspect is believed to have abducted the child from the St. John’s neighborhood in North Austin, later committing the assault at an unspecified motel.
Providing specifics on the wanted individual, the police revealed the suspect to be a Hispanic man likely in his late 30s or older, possibly Honduran or Salvadorian, who speaks Spanish and is known as “Alex”; he has tattoos on his chest and arms, driving a dark pickup truck, and he was wearing an orange and blue “Looney Tunes” tank top when last seen, a situation representing an urgent public safety concern that demands community awareness and assistance. The motel is believed to be a two-story, yellow building with stairs on the outside, surrounded by trees, the Austin Police Department described, urging those who might recognize such a place to come forward.
