Summer's around the corner, and the city's gearing up to beat the heat with a splash. According to a recent bulletin, The Aquatic Park, hailed as the perfect escape for those sweltering days, will open its gates on Monday, June 3 – assuming Mother Nature doesn't decide to rain on the parade.
There's something for all – from the little ones eager to take the tot whale slide for a spin to thrill-seekers looking to plummet down four-story water slides. The park boasts a plethora of watery delights including spray arches, and, water geysers. It's not all about thrills though; lap swim lanes and diving boards are part of the mix for the fitness enthusiasts, while sun decks await those keen to soak up some sun.
Opening week offers a split schedule with the park open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then again from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. during weekdays, and an extended 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. slot over the weekend. Roll into summer and the schedule loosens up – as from June 8 through July 31 you'll find the park open from 11 a.m. all the way until 8 p.m. on weekdays, and maintaining the weekend hours. Come August, the daily grind eases slightly with doors open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. Remember, that's if the weather agrees, an unpredictability we all know too well.
For those looking to plan ahead, the full schedule and details are available on the official Aquatic Park bulletin. So, mark your calendars, break out the swimsuits, and be ready to make a splash in what's set to be the city's summer oasis. Just keep an eye on those skies before you dive into your poolside plans.
