Bellevue Welcomes New Spring District with Family Festival Featuring Games, Music, and City InsightsSource: City of Bellevue

Bellevue is rolling out the welcome mat for its newest hood with a family-friendly bash. Mark your calendar for the Spring District Family Festival, slated for Saturday, May 18. The City of Bellevue promises a day packed with games, tunes, eats, and all the neighborhood 411. Head over to Spring District Plaza, located at 12167 NE 14th Terrace, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to join the festivities.

With the kids in tow, the KidsQuest Children’s Museum is bringing the fun with hands-on activities. And not leaving the grown-ups behind, Reality Break Escapes will offer puzzles and games that are sure to get your mind racing. Information stations manned by staffers from Bellevue’s Transportation, Utilities, and Community Development departments will also be there to fill you in on city resources.

Those planning to come can ditch the car and hop on the new 2 Line light rail, right to the Spring District stop. The city's ringing in the easy access with offers for free parking and rail tickets, for all curious, can reach out to Neighborhood Outreach at [email protected] or 425-452-6836.

No festival is complete without a solid lineup of grub and melodies. A selection of food trucks will sell lunch indulgences, and for the groove lovers, Mambo Cadillac and Club Furcula will be serving up Latin beats and indie rock, respectively. Keeping the streets less jammed, there's limited street parking, but you can score a spot in the Global Innovation Exchange garage if you call dibs ahead.
