Reports from KSAT indicate that the teenager, whose identity has not been made public, went missing earlier Sunday morning while swimming. She was one of two swimmers caught in distress, the rescued being the younger of the two. Park rangers responded to the emergency call around 7:15 a.m., near Cameron County Beach Access 5, but upon their arrival, they could no longer spot the 14-year-old.
