Constable Canine "Lanzo" nabbed a suspect following a brief but intense pursuit.
Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office tried to pull over a stolen vehicle on May 15, in the 24700 block of Tomball Parkway. The driver, later identified as Brandon Jaramillo, wasn't having any of it and decided to make a run for it, barreling down the roadway. The chase was on but didn't last long before the deputies brought it to a halt. Yet, Jaramillo bolted from the car on foot and dove into a nearby wooded sanctuary.
"Lanzo," the Constable's K9 unit, joined the fray. With a sense of duty, the trained dog swiftly tracked down the fleeing Jaramillo, squashing any further escape attempts. The suspect's short-lived dash for freedom ended with him in cuffs and facing a slew of charges.
"Brandon Jaramillo was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle. His bond was set at $30,000.00 out of the 487th District Court." Constable Mark Herman stated.
