Chaos erupted at a local Urban Air in Harris County when deputies responded to a disturbance call on May 18. Devon Briscoe, identified as a convicted felon, got confrontational after Constable deputies asked him to immediately leave the premises. According to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office, the situation escalated when Briscoe refused to cooperate, turning belligerent as deputies moved to escort him out.
During the scuffle, the already charged air was thickened by Briscoe's threats, as he openly stated his intent to significantly harm the officers. “Devon Briscoe was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Retaliation. His bond has not been set at this time out of the 185th District Court.” Herman articulated in a statement.
The aftermath of the arrest will surely continue to unfold as the court proceedings commence and Briscoe awaits his day in court.
