
Police pulled over a suspected drunk driver after a brief chase in Crystal, Minnesota. The incident, which occurred late on May 10, involved officers from the Crystal Police Department. Onlookers observed a vehicle exhibiting behavior typical of a DWI before the confrontation escalated into a pursuit. The driver attempted to flee but was halted near 73rd Ave N along County Road 81 after a strategic maneuver by the police.
According to details released by the Crystal Police Department, the suspect's car was subjected to a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, effectively compelling the vehicle to a stop. Fleeing from immediate justice, the maneuver proved a decisive effort by the officers to end the high-speed drama. Aided by the Brooklyn Park Police, officers were able to take the driver into custody. The driver's inability to communicate in English necessitated assistance for translation during the arrest. The official report noted the involvement of neighboring law enforcement in ensuring the apprehension was smoothly handled.
