A family dispute in Delray Beach took a violent turn on Sunday evening when a woman was arrested for the alleged shooting of her son-in-law. Delray Beach police were called to the scene around 6:30 p.m. in the residential area of SW 29th Avenue after reports of gunfire erupted outside a man's home.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered the victim with gunshot wounds. Despite the chaos enfolding that quiet neighborhood street, emergency responders were quickly to transport the injured man to the hospital, where he received care for non-life-threatening injuries. The authorities identified and detained the suspect as Sally Conley, 69, of Delray Beach, charging her with attempted murder.
The incident has particularly rattled the local community, leading police to seek out additional witnesses to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
