Detroit is on the lookout for 12-year-old Zarriah Keys, who disappeared from her home over the weekend, the Detroit Police Department said. Last seen in the 18000 block of Griggs on Saturday, May 11, authorities are calling on the public to help trace the young girl's whereabouts after she left without permission and failed to return, sparking concern and an official missing person report filed on Sunday, as per WWJ Newsradio.
Described as a Black female standing 5'8" tall and weighing just 98 pounds, with brown eyes and hair worn in twists, the police are circulating her details alongside a description of what she was last seen wearing: a black t-shirt adorned with an image of Ice Cube, blue jogging pants, and black slippers. The Detroit Police Department has reached out through their Facebook page, urging anyone with information to step forward.
With a community on edge, the DPD is urging eyewitnesses or those in the know to get in touch with Commander Kurt Worboys at the DPD's 12th Precinct by calling 313-596-1240 to share any insights into Zarriah's current location. For those choosing anonymity, Crime Stoppers provides a veil through which they can speak up without fear by calling 1-800-Speak Up (800-773-2587) or submitting information online, as the authorities have widened their net seeking any shred of evidence that could light the path to her safe return.
