A North Texas family is desperately seeking information three weeks after 22-year-old Waid Robison vanished following a car crash. Robison's mother, Diana, and grandmother, Sharon, are pleading for any leads that could unravel the mystery of his disappearance since April 21, when he crashed his car on Highway 80, per Fox 4. "He hasn’t used his ATM card," Sharon said in an interview with WFAA. Diana added, "There was no blood in his car either," signaling to a perplexing lack of evidence in his vehicle.
The Forney Police Department, after an extensive but fruitless search, declared they had to exhaustively stop their physical search efforts. Despite this setback, Robison's family members are unable to to just stand by. His sister, Katie, waits at home with the hope of his return, while her husband Dillon and a group of volunteers continue searching. "The hardest part is telling [Katie,] 'I’m coming home, and I don’t have her brother,'" Dillon confessed to WFAA.
Compounding the anguish is the emotional torment of Diana, who continues to call and text her son's recovered phone. "I don’t know if it helps me feel any better just by reaching out," she told WFAA through tears. On Mother's Day, she spent her time not only posting missing posters on local businesses but also reminiscing over the previous year's gift from her son, a "thing of metal roses."
On a day when many celebrated family, the Robisons' plea for assistance remained a stark reminder of their loss. The family urges anyone with potential information to step forward and provide any clues that could help find their lost loved one. Detectives from the Forney Police Department are still actively investigating the missing persons case, looking for leads even if the search in the woods has stopped. Anyone with information is asked to call the Forney Police, in a somber reminder that not all families were whole on this Mother's Day.
