At around 3:30 P.M., in the residential streets near 11 Mile and Halsted, a verbal disagreement between two siblings, aged 28 and 30, spiraled out of control, culminating in the older brother allegedly shooting the younger in the chest.

Responding officers arrived to discover the victim grievously wounded. Details emerging from ClickOnDetroit describe the mother's horror as she contacted police upon hearing gunshots within her home on Saratoga Circle. The younger brother was transported to a local hospital where his life, overshadowed by a gunshot, was ultimately extinguished.

The suspected shooter, the 30-year-old brother, fled the scene before authorities could apprehend him. Farmington Hills Police have since been canvassing the area, deploying multiple resources including K9 units, AVs, and drones. However, while the suspect is still at large and considered "armed and dangerous," they do not believe he imposes a threat to the community, as relayed by police to FOX 2 Detroit.

Police Chief Jeff King, wanting the community to be conscious of their efforts, assured the public of their dedication to public safety. Wearing black shoes and a black tank top, the suspect was last seen, with officers being sent due to the proximity to a golf course across the street - taking the position seriously. "We know who we’re looking for," King said. "While he is armed and dangerous, we don't think he poses a threat to the community at large."
