Austin's dining scene is buzzing once again as Gabriela's Group, the Latin-owned culinary juggernaut behind local favorites such as Taquero Mucho and Revival Coffee, launches its latest venture, La Seareinita, a streamlined version of the thriving Sinaloa-style seafood restaurant, Seareinas. According to Austin CultureMap, this marks the group's 13th concept across Texas, with 11 eateries already spicing up the Austin area.
La Seareinita has taken over an old Whataburger on Burleson Road, transforming it into a sea of turquoise patterns and Monstera flourishes, and while it echoes Seareinas' signature maritime flair, the fresh joint aims to lure in patrons with live music, a robust cocktail list and more than 10 HD screens for sports enthusiasts. Not just a visual treat, their restrooms stand out with a blend of black tiles graced with gold grout and bespoke butterfly wallpaper, creating a vista for vanity, all while keeping the essence of the original restaurant with white marble tabletops and Sinaloa’s iconic Jesus Malverde statues.
However, it's not just the aesthetics that keep the crowds docking—KVUE reports that La Searienta will also launch a new drive-through feature, offering micheladas and cocktails on the go, borrowing from the larger locale off Interstate 35. This distinct seafood endeavor is a testament to Gabriela Bucio’s empire which has seen significant expansion since its inception in 2018.
