Gwinnett County Police nabbed five individuals linked to a stolen car, firearm, and narcotics stash discovered in a Duluth parking lot. The bust went down April 4 when cops, with a little help from the sky, spotted the purloined ride at 1625 Pleasant Hill Road, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
The merry band of outlaws had been touring the country, rolling from Chicago through various states before hitting the Peach State, when the law swooped in, an extensive search laid bare the ill-gotten hardware and dope. The sweep netted a five-strong crew with charges including possession of a controlled substance, theft by receiving stolen property, and Laroy Allen-Burse, 33, of Atlanta, was among those pinched, he's looking at theft by receiving stolen property and drug possession raps too.
Leading the charge was Chi-Town's own Aniyah Falon Barber, 23, two-fold charged with possession and theft of hot property, according to details from Atlanta News First. The law enforcement haul also included Marquise T. Ellison, 27, also from the Windy City, and Dominique Bell, 37, from Indiana, each slapped with similar charges. Yet it was Lamont William Hall Jr., 32, also hailing from Chicago, who might be in deeper water, facing extra flak for multiple outstanding arrest warrants on top of the freshly minted accusations.
All five were escorted to the Gwinnett County Jail where they got their mugshots snapped without a hitch as the cops touted the roundup with other agencies, which could signal more trouble as other jurisdictions may join the chargers pile on. The suspects' interstate joyride has come to a screeching halt, the po-po's long arm intending to keep them parked behind bars for the foreseeable future.
