In the early hours of May 22, a young suspect's alleged burglary spree came to a halt when Harris County Constables apprehended a 14-year-old male following a reported break-in. The incident, which unfolded in the 5300 block of FM 1960 East, triggered a law enforcement response after deputies were called to the scene at about 1:13 a.m. and found evidence of a burglary.
Constable Mark Herman's deputies did not have to search long for the suspect, for he fled on foot and after a brief chase, the teenager was caught, officials detailed the sequence of the events, he was then processed and placed into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center facing charges related to the crime. A statement from Constable Herman's Office, shared on their official Facebook page, included the firm resolution of the incident: "The juvenile was arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, charged with Burglary of Building."
The name and other identifying details of the juvenile have not been made public due to his minor status, which is standard procedure in such legal matters. However, the authorities have clearly communicated their actions in apprehending and charging the suspect, firmly stating their dedication to deterring such activities in the community.
