In a swift response to a fleeing suspect, Harris County deputies apprehended a man following a high-speed chase on Will Clayton Parkway. The individual, identified as Caleb Nelams, initiated the pursuit after failing to comply with a routine traffic stop.

Constable Mark Herman's Office reported that deputies deployed stop sticks, which took out the vehicle and brought an end to the chase. Nelams, who was behind the wheel, was taken into custody without further incident. A search of his vehicle uncovered a stolen handgun, leading to further charges against him.

In a statement, Constable Mark Herman said, "Caleb Nelams was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.
