The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced lane and shoulder restrictions on the I-83 John Harris Memorial (South) Bridge over the Susquehanna River.
The squeeze comes as PennDOT gears up for inspection work set to run this weekend and cut into next week's commutes. Specifically, drivers can expect to see the right lane of northbound I-83, or the southbound right shoulder, out of commission, all three travel lanes in each direction, and the on/off ramps ar staying open. According to the PennDOT advisory, the restrictions are scheduled for Saturday, May 4, from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and then from Monday, May 6, through the end of the week on Friday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
