A Hogansville man is in custody following a sting operation that led to his arrest on child pornography charges. Early Friday, 64-year-old Stephen Hall was taken into custody after police executed a search warrant at his home.

Officers from Hogansville Police, with the assistance of the Georgia State Patrol SWAT team, apprehended Hall without incident. After the raid, police reportedly uncovered a trove of illegal materials, as Fox 5 Atlanta reported, putting the 64-year-old behind bars on 10 counts of violating the Computer or Electronic Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention Act. Hall is currently awaiting the adjudication of his case at the Troup County Detention Center where he was held with no bond allowed.

"Child pornography is a heinous crime that inflicts lasting harm on its victims and undermines the safety and well-being of our communities," read a statement from the Hogansville Police Department, as Atlanta News First relayed. The police stressed their commitment to "aggressively pursuing individuals who engage in such reprehensible behavior" and promised to employ all available resources to see justice served.
