A convicted felon was nabbed for shoplifting and found with a firearm, according to Harris County constables. The arrest went down on Aldine Westfield Road after deputies got a tip about a suspect who swiped goods and strolled past all checkout points without coughing up cash for the concealed items.
Constables quickly pinpointed the suspect, identified as Don Tyrone, and a quick check revealed a rap sheet including an open felony warrant for tampering with evidence and a misdemeanor warrant for unlawfully carrying a weapon. Deputies discovered Tyrone had an additional probation violation warrant for larceny all the way from Louisiana.
In a statement released by Constable Mark Herman's Office, it was disclosed, "Don Tyrone was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm. His bond was set at $15,000.00 out of the 486th District Court."
