Mayor Rex Richardson shared his enthusiasm for the seasonal celebration saying, "Summer is upon us, and we are thrilled to welcome the warm summer nights with our annual kickoff concert," and, "We encourage music lovers of all ages to come out and enjoy a Long Beach summer night with an evening of free, family-friendly fun," council members echo that sentiment and folks gearing up for a lively Friday night can thank Fourth District Councilman Daryl Supernaw for championing the community get-together. Equally excited, PRM Director Brent Dennis called upon residents to "join in a Long Beach summer tradition that kicks off a season of music in our parks," promising a slew of upcoming outdoor events that will have locals singing and swaying throughout the season including Movies in the Park, Long Beach Municipal Band Concert Series and ensembles at the El Dorado Nature Center, the fun doesn't stop with just one night.
