Los Angeles residents are bracing for a series of cloudy days with a chance of patchy drizzle as the weather takes a subtle turn from the city's typical sunny disposition. Today's forecast shows conditions starting cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny with a high near 68 degrees. By nightfall, it's back to mostly cloudy with the mercury dipping to around 56, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday doesn’t stray far from today’s pattern. It’ll start cloudy before giving way to the sun and hitting a similar high of 69, calm winds will be on the roster, turning southwest around 5 mph. The city's weekend kicks off with patchy drizzle expected late Friday night, with the cloud cover thickening and a low hovering around 55 degrees. Residents might find some relief in the latter part of the weekend, when Saturday promises mostly sunny skies after the morning drizzle, peaking at 72 degrees, as per the National Weather Service.
The seesaw of sunshine and clouds doesn't stop there. Sunday continues with patchy morning fog, later clearing up for mostly sunny skies and a high near 71. The workweek starts on an indecisive note with conditions on Monday echoing the weekend's pattern of patchy morning drizzle and partly sunny skies with a high around 68, followed by more drizzle in the evening.
As for the rest of the week, Los Angeles can expect a little more consistency with temperatures. Tuesday and Wednesday are looking to deliver more patchy drizzle, yet they'll also serve up mostly sunny skies with highs near 70 and 71, respectively, as reported by the National Weather Service. Nighttime conditions for both days are expected to stay mostly cloudy with lows lingering at the mid-50s. So while the drizzle may not make for the most inspiring weather, at least the temperatures are holding steady, and a little bit of typical L.A. sunshine is still fighting its way through the clouds.
