Edward Fernandez, the man riding the electric scooter, was traveling northbound in the southbound traffic lanes when he was struck head-on by a red Toyota Camry, as per a report by FOX San Antonio. The police indicated that the electric scooter Fernandez was riding had no lights turned on at the time of the accident.

Following the collision, Fernandez was taken to a hospital in critical condition. But despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver of the Camry remained at the scene, cooperating with the subsequent police investigation.
