A violent outburst ended in charges of attempted murder for a 42-year-old man after he allegedly plowed his vehicle into a food truck, injuring two people in Cordova. The scene unfolded at the Cordova Pitstop Food Truck Park and was captured on camera, according to authorities.

Police say Alton Turner was involved in an altercation Friday evening before he rammed his Ford F-250 into the food truck. Turner was taken into custody and faces two counts of attempted second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault, as reported by FOX13 Memphis. His bond is set at $75,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court.

Turner reportedly became hostile after being cut off from alcohol at a nearby bar, leading to a disturbance at the food truck. "He was like you told them not to give me anything to drink, I said I did because you are belligerent, and you don't know how to handle your alcohol. I said as a matter of fact you need to leave," Mark Maughmer, the food truck owner and one of the victims, described the confrontation in a phone call, as Action News 5 reported.

In a violent turn of events, Turner is said to have retrieved his vehicle keys, smashed through a fence, and accelerated towards Maughmer and another individual, who narrowly escaped harm. "He comes flying through the fence. Straight through the deck. I had to push Jamarcus, the other guy that was with me out of the way and I jumped up on the food truck. He just slammed, I slammed into my food truck," Maughmer recounted the harrowing incident in a statement obtained by Action News 5. Maughmer added that his food truck was destroyed as a result of the attack.

Surveillance footage corroborated by law enforcement revealed the attempted vehicle assault in detail, including Turner's efforts to move the truck forward with smoke billowing from the tires due to lack of traction, WREG reported. Victims of the attack were treated for their injuries at the scene. As the case proceeds to court, the video evidence could prove crucial in substantiating the charges against Turner.
