Man Charged with Sexual Battery After Alleged Incident at Chamblee Whole FoodsSource: DeKalb County Sheriff's Office

During a shopping trip at Chamblee Whole Foods, a man allegedly assaulted a woman by releasing bodily fluids on her without her consent. The suspect, Troy Calliste, 28, has been arrested and is now facing charges of sexual battery and public indecency.

The unsettling incident occurred at the grocery chain's location at 5001 Peachtree Boulevard, when Dr. Sabine Lovell, a plastic surgeon, was shopping. Lovell told FOX 5, "I see this gentleman walking down the aisle who's pretending to be shopping and he's holding a basket, and he looked kind of like a normal gentleman, like late 20s, early 30s, nothing like extra suspicious about him." She added that as she reached for chips she felt something wet, and warm on her back, and to her horror discovered a "gooey, white substance" upon touching it.

Surveillance footage from the store confirmed, Lovell chasing the alleged perpetrator out of the premises. This proactive response was Lovell's attempt to ensure "that there would be a lot of witnesses," as she recounted to FOX 5. Calliste was subsequently arrested in Gwinnett County.

Details from an incident report, shared by Atlanta News First, depicted the woman initially mistaking the substance for a spilled liquid before the realization struck her that it was semen. After the act, the assailant reportedly fled toward his vehicle, with the victim in pursuit, screaming for attention. Calliste is now awaiting booking at the DeKalb County Jail.

Chamblee police are continuing their investigation of the incident. They urge anyone with further information to come forward and assist in the ongoing case.
