A brutal daylight shooting left one man dead in the streets of Miami-Dade, police said Tuesday. The murderous episode unfolded in the Goulds neighborhood around 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of W. Old Cutler Road and Southwest 115th Avenue, NBC Miami reported.
Miami-Dade officers, responding to the bloodshed, found the man riddled with bullets. Despite being rushed to Jackson South Medical Center, the victim's life slipped away, pronounced dead upon arrival. The identity of the man has remained under wraps, with detectives tight-lipped and a killer, or killers, at large.
The scene following the gunshot chaos was grim, with a 'long trail of blood' staining a Goulds sidewalk, observed by the hovering Sky 10 just moments after the shooting, Local 10 News described. Onlookers, questioned by the first responders, could only watch as their neighborhood became the latest stage for Miami's unyielding gun violence.
Authorities have not yet pinpointed a clear motive behind the fatal encounter and remain in the dark about the perpetrator's identity. In an urgent public plea, law enforcement is beckoning anyone with potential leads to step forward, urging contacts to Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477, according to Local 10 News.
