A 40-year-old man was tragically killed early Saturday after his truck veered off the road and slammed into a tree in Vienna Township, north of Flint, officials said.

The Michigan State Police responded to the scene on Saginaw Road near Dort Highway to find the man's Chevrolet Silverado had crossed the center line and struck the tree head-on, according to WNEM. Efforts were promptly made to definitely extricate the driver from the wreckage, as recounted by the authorities.
