A Phinney Ridge store clerk faced the terror of a gunpoint robbery this past Sunday evening as three masked suspects stormed the business, snagging cash and goods in a brazen heist, Seattle police said.
The stick-up unfolded shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the 5900 block of Phinney Avenue North when the trio, their identities concealed, made their entrance. According to Seattle Police Department's Blotter, one perpetrator brandished a handgun at the 24-year-old male employee, forcing him to the floor. The other crooks attempted to raid the register, but they demanded the clerk do the deed when their efforts went south. The register sprung open. They pilfered the takings and fled on foot, leaving the worker unharmed but undoubtedly shaken.
The Seattle Police arrived quickly, but the suspects had vanished into the night. Despite their swift response, the perpetrators remain at large. Investigators have processed the crime scene, looking for clues that could lead to the identification of these masked marauders.
Robbery detectives are now spearheading the probe into the event. The SPD has called for anyone with insights or information to come forward in the hopes that justice can be served on these felons.
