Early Saturday morning, a blaze turned a trailer home in Miami Gardens into ash and debris, prompting an urgent response from local fire teams. According to WSVN, the inferno erupted along the 19900 block of Northwest 37th Avenue, with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units arriving at the horrific scene around 5:10 a.m.
The homeowner, who had recently put the mobile home up for sale and had utilities disconnected, told 7News the property is unsalvageable. Despite the destruction, fortune played its hand – no injuries were reported, as the trailer was vacant when the flames took hold. Twisted metal, a scorched car, and neighboring trailers with external damage bore silent witness to the devastation.
Efforts from the fire squads prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent homes in the Riviera Park MHC neighborhood. Local10 reported that firefighters were deployed at about 5 a.m. and managed to contain the "alarm 1" level conflagration, preventing further losses in the community. The cause of the fire, which left the mobile home in ruins, remains a mystery as of now.
Officials are turning every stone in their search for answers, and detectives are appealing to the public for any leads. Anybody with information about this fire, or other cases, is encouraged to reach out to Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers by calling 305-471-8477, as mentioned by Local10. In the meantime, the American Red Cross is stepping in, offering support to those impacted by the fiery ordeal.
