Milton Police have launched an all-out search for a lone suspect behind a brazen midday home invasion on Monday in a quiet Milton neighborhood, authorities say. At a home on Highgrove Club Drive, the intruder made off with a vehicle which was later found ditched near North Point Parkway, as reported by the local police.
The Alpharetta Police discovered the stolen vehicle, deserted, and the perp had legged it on foot towards the heavily wooded Big Creek Greenway, which led to a manhunt sweeping through nature’s hideaways, nearby schools were put on lockdown as a precautionary measure although the lockdown was eventually lifted, authorities insisted there was no longer a pressing threat to the public, yet the suspect remains at large.
Investigators urge anyone with insights on the suspect, caught on surveillance footage, to come forward and assist in bringing the culprit to justice. A snapshot of the suspect made its way to the public eye via the Milton Police Department, who are calling on the community to aid in identifying the man responsible.
In a bid to keep their cards close to their chest, the Milton PD is tight-lipped about the particulars of the investigation, as they shared in a statement obtained by the City of Milton news release; however, they expressed gratitude towards citizens for their restraint and cooperation. On the other hand, Crime Stoppers Atlanta is ready to hand out a bounty of up to $2,000 for tips that can put the case to bed—no names or personal data required, just a point in the right direction.
Those with information can anonymously dial 404-577-TIPS (8477), hit up www.StopCrimeAtl.org, or text CSA plus their tip to CRIMES (274637) and possibly snap up the reward, because the net, wide and ever-widening, continues its search for a man amidst the community’s unsettled whispers.
