According to KENS 5, the motorcyclist was hit from behind and found lying in the street with serious injuries, the impact of the collision sending him off his bike, which was discovered damaged at the scene. The hit-and-run driver has not been located, and police are seeking any leads on the perpetrator.
In the second incident, a man, riding a motor scooter was hit by a car, as per FOX San Antonio. The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition, and authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
These accidents highlight the perils that riders face on Texas roads, and the Texas Department of Transportation has responded by promoting their Share the Road campaign. With 599 motorcyclists killed and 2,483 seriously injured in 2023 alone, the campaign emphasizes the importance of drivers' vigilance in spotting two-wheeled vehicles.
