A pre-dawn confrontation between two men on the Northeast Side of San Antonio escalated into violence, ending with one man hospitalized with a stab wound to his stomach and the other detained by police. The altercation occurred this morning in the vicinity of Serna Elementary School, as per the San Antonio Police Department.
Responding to a call at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Northeast Loop 410. Upon arrival, they discovered the wounded man. According to KSAT, the victim and the suspect, having had an earlier dispute, had met again when the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim during the ensuing argument. In critical condition, the victim was rushed to University Hospital.
The suspect remained on the scene and was taken into custody by the authorities. Details surrounding the initial argument between the two men have not been disclosed, but it was acknowledged by police that the pair had a problem earlier in the day.
