Beer lovers in Mesa have something to celebrate as Pedal Haus Brewery gears up to open its latest venue, reimagining the traditional 'biergarten' for Arizona's sun-soaked clime. Pedal Haus founder Julian Wright spilled the details about the new spot, set to launch in the heart of downtown Mesa this fall—no full kitchen included, just an on-site food trailer with "typical Pedal Haus food" several days a week, and permission to bring in grub from local joints, according to ABC15.
Julian Wright described the upcoming project with palpable excitement, "It's more really more of a true 'biergarten' and that you can go to the bar to get your beers wherever you like," he told ABC15. If you are thinking about a cozy, sudsy sanctuary for your craft beer cravings, Wright's latest creation on Main Street, housed in a former auto body shop, promises just that with its sprawling patio and an interior-outdoor bar tailored for those sizzling Mesa days.
Brew aficionados can expect a range of 16 continuously rotating taps, one seltzer, and as Wright put it, "our good ol’ margaritas out there that are pretty popular. Wine, of course, and a full bar," in a statement obtained by ABC15. And for those looking to take a piece of the Haus home, this location also marks the first time Pedal Haus will offer cans of beer for takeaway, a nod to nearly a decade of brewing history.
Located at the former Pit Stop auto body shop near Robson and Main streets, the new Pedal Haus location, complete with a 6,000-square-foot dog-friendly patio equipped with fire pits and a stage for live music, is slated to throw open its doors come September or October. The bar will comprise a cozy 2,300 square feet of interior space, Julian Wright said, confirmed by KTAR. True to his words, when the mercury in Mesa soars, patrons can take respite in the air-conditioned indoor portion of Pedal Haus before wandering back out to its iconic patio—Wright's vision of the perfect 'biergarten' oasis.
