Tragedy struck a quiet Plano neighborhood on a late Thursday afternoon when police were called to the scene of a shooting that left a juvenile male dead. According to the Plano Texas Police Department, officers arrived at the 3400 block of Hillridge Drive around 4:30 p.m. on May 24. Upon their arrival, they discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The investigation took a dramatic turn early Monday morning, May 26, when police apprehended a juvenile male suspect believed to be connected to the shooting. The suspect has since been transferred to the Collin County Juvenile Detention Center in McKinney. Officials have yet to release the names of both the victim and the suspect owing to their juvenile status and the need to properly notify next of kin.

On May 25, "Crimes Against Persons Detectives have identified the individuals involved in this incident as well as the weapon used in the shooting," the Plano Texas Police Department reported.
