This past Monday, a suspect with an open warrant tried to quickly evade the law but was intercepted by a vigilant police dog named "Rambo Tom Ramsey." According to the Facebook page of Harris County Precinct 4, the man, later identified as Brandon Harvey, prompted his arrest after calling the police to check if his malfunctioning ankle monitor had triggered any warrants.

The incident took a turn as deputies arrived at Briarcreek and FM 1960 Road to fully find out Harvey's legal status. It was confirmed that he indeed had an outstanding warrant, prompting him to literally run into more trouble by fleeing into the residential area. A resident dialed dispatch after Harvey jumped her fence and hid in her garage. Deputies were quick to set up a perimeter and, following several warnings, unleashed K9 Rambo, who managed to swiftly subdue the suspect.

During the takedown, Harvey suffered a bite on his arm and was subsequently taken to the hospital to receive stitches, authorities reported. The canine officer's involvement was crucial in safely apprehending the fugitive without further incident or injury to officers.

Following his capture, "Brandon Harvey was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Evading, Criminal Trespass, and Criminal Mischief. His total bond was set at $20,000.00 out of County Court 7."  the Harris County Precinct 4's Facebook page confirmed.
