West Hollywood just got a taste of star-powered sandwich savor, as "Vanderpump Rules" alum Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney swung open the doors to their highly anticipated sandwich spot, Something About Her, on May 22. The reality TV stars turned restaurateurs, who made headlines announcing their venture back in 2022, faced their fair share of setbacks including chef changes and permitting issues before finally launching the eatery located at 640 N. Robertson Boulevard.

Despite the bumpy road to opening, the duo remained optimistic throughout the process. "We both believed that it would always happen, that we were going to make it happen," Madix said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. Adding to the conversation, Maloney shared, "I don't think it was ever a moment of this won't happen, but it was just kind of like, 'Okay, but how much longer are we talking?'" Their determination paid off when roughly 125 fans formed lines stretching past neighboring businesses for a chance to taste their cuisine on opening day, as reported by Eater.

The quaint shop features a 15-seat interior designed by Jon Hutman, who seems to have struck the right chord among the eatery's clientele. Fancying a taste of rom-com inspiration, the locales are decked with trellises, upholstered benches, throw pillows, and soft iron sconces illuminating the walls. Fans got more than a hearty sandwich, as they rubbed elbows with Madix and Maloney, who mingled with patrons while snapping selfies on opening day.

On the menu front, each sandwich, priced between $14 and $18, pays homage to Hollywood's leading ladies. The Diane, Maloney's personal favorite, serves up a Sicilian-style tuna salad on an artisan baguette. Meanwhile, the Nancy, nodding to director Nancy Meyers, takes a classic B.L.T and elevates it—a selection both proprietors believe exemplifies Meyers' timeless appeal. “We talked about names of flowers, and I think we wanted it to sound like a movie title, not really sound like a sandwich shop because it was much more to us than that,” Maloney told PEOPLE.

Though the grand opening saw a deluge of patrons, the consensus from the food scene predicts Something About Her will secure its place as a daytime haven for both Vanderpump aficionados and West Hollywood's culinary crowd alike. The shop’s location itself is a testament to Madix and Maloney's journey—mere steps away from where their friendship blossomed on the set of the Bravo series. As the hustle settles, Something About Her will no doubt be a locale worth a visit for a bite, or merely to spot the restaurant-reality stars in their new entrepreneurial element.
