A Sunrise, Florida, laundromat became the scene of a harrowing crime after Marquise Perry Grant, a registered sex offender, kidnapped and raped a woman, authorities said. NBC Miami reported that the 34-year-old was arrested on multiple charges, including kidnapping, sexual battery with a weapon, and resisting an officer without violence.
The incident unfolded at Sudzies of Sunrise Laundromat on West Sunrise Boulevard, where Grant, after spotting his victim, retrieved a shotgun-style pellet gun from a bathroom and coerced the woman to leave with him as she feared for her life, the arrest report detailed when he was first discovered the police found Grant on top of the victim with his sexual organs exposed.
