A family's heartbreak was laid bare to the public, as Crime Stoppers of San Antonio steps forward with a $5,000 bounty for information leading to the arrests of suspects in a deadly shooting that stole the life of a 4-year-old girl. The child, Maryann, was the youngest victim of what law enforcement is calling a "ruthless attack" on a household including her parents and two siblings on May 8 off Windsor Hollow.
Crime Stoppers hopes to fervently encourage anyone with information to come forward, with the substantial reward as an added incentive. The vice president of the organization, Nadiv Hirani, expressed an anguish so deep that it mirrors the community's shock, asserting to KENS 5 that, "It is absolutely heartbreaking. I can't even express how hurt I feel for the family. It's just a brazen ruthless attack."
The victim's grandfather, Hector Castillo, shared his devastation with KENS 5. "That was my baby girl," he said, grappling to make sense of the senseless violence that abruptly ended a young life and forever altered a family. As of now, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office continues their search for two men believed to be connected with the incident.
Emphasizing the effectiveness of Crime Stoppers' methods, Hirani reminded the public that anonymity is a cornerstone of their system, hoping to alleviate fears and encourage tips. "You can be a family member," Hirani said. "A friend of the criminal, you will remain anonymous. We just want to solve the cases and get this family justice and solace," he affirmed in a statement to KENS 5.
