The arrest follows early morning efforts by deputies who responded to the crime scene at around 4 a.m. Monday they discovered a man in his 40s with gunshot wounds in the street and near the intersection of West Parmer Lane and McNeil Drive CPR procedures were initiated until Austin-Travis County EMS arrived but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives at the scene unearthed evidence suggesting the victim may have confronted a burglar attempting to break into his vehicle, this evidence led them to Daniel, who was apprehended later that day, according to CBS Austin.
